On the fifty day of the Mahotsav, a play “Atma Samman – Kal Aaj aur Kal” based on fundamental rights of women in the society and her struggle against atrocities on her was staged. This play was prepared by Samvaad Theatre Group, Chandigarh. The play was directed by Mukesh Sharma and playwright was Rajesh Atreya. The play started with the message to the society about proper use of social media and immediately showed the agony of one college lady lecturer named “Neelima” against molestation. The best part of the play was to motivate Neelima through the epic story of “Ahilya” form Treta Yug. The story of Ahilya was shown in a very positive manner and gave a direct message to the whole world to fight for their legitimate rights. It infuses strength in Neelima and she fights for her dignity at her own. The play was aptly directed by Mukesh Sharma and all the artists did justice to their respective roles. The notable artists were Yashpal Tiwari, Heera Singh, Sanjay Kashyap, Jyoti Sharma, Sachin, Vikas Negi, Mayank, Mohit, Annapurna, Pawali etc. The audiences were enriched with the description of saga of Ahilya. Sh. Anurag Aggarwal, IAS, Addl. Chief Secretary (Higher Education) to Govt. of Haryana, appreciated all the artists and Director of Samvaad Theatre Group for this beautiful play presentation in the presence of Prof. Saubhagya Vardhan, Director, NZCC, Patiala and other dignitaries.
