- In girls sub-junior category, Kashvi Jaiswal wins; Naman Bansal wins Challenge Cup Championship
Chandigarh 30 November 2019: 6th GTA Cup Open Taekwondo Championship 2019 – 20 organised by Emerald Martial Arts took off at Carmel Convent School in Sector 9 here under the guidance of Master Shiv Raj Gharti. Over 400 players from tricity are participating in the age group of 4 to 17.
This championship has been organized in 3 categories which include Kyorugi, Breaking & Poomsae. Challenge Cup competition was also organized in which players competed and got various medals. It is to be noted that the winners of both categories (boys and girls) would be awarded a big trophy and a cash prize in the Challenge Cup competition, in which a total amount of Rs 1 lakh will be given.
The results of the players who won medals in different categories are as follows.
In the under-4 to 7 girls age group, Tanvi won gold, Ibbadat won silver, Shanaya won bronze, while in boys Ahan Chugh won gold, Kapish Sachdeva won silver and Arv Devanga won bronze in the same category.
In the under 8 to 11 age group in the sub junior category, Kyosha Mittal won the gold, Anika Thakur silver, Jasnur Saini won the bronze medal. In this category, in boys, Arnav Bansal won gold, Siddharth Mittal got silver, Sambhav Kohli won bronze.
At the same time, in the Challenge Cup championship was organized in the players of both classes (boys and girls), in which Emerald Martial Arts Kashvi Jaswal in the sub junior category and in boys 4-7 category Emerald Martial Arts Naman Bansal of Panchkula Won cup championship.
Master Shiv Raj Gharti said “Tomorrow we continue the Championship from 9 am onwards and will be conducting matches for more than 200 students of tricity & other states. The matches will be held for the Cadet (12 yrs – 14 yrs) & Junior (15 yrs – 17 yrs) Age Category.
