Simmi Marwaha Memorial Charitable Trust today organised its 15th Young Journalists Felicitation Day at Chandigarh Press Club here. Those honoured on the occasion were journalists, photo journalists and topper student of PU Mass Communication Department of correspondence.
In Hindi print media among those who were felicitated included Rashmi Rohilla from Punjab Kesari, Amit Kumar Gupta from Dainik Jagran, photographers included Anil Dayal from Hindustan Times and Panjab University Mass Communication, Department of correspondence topper Sheenam Bhatia. They were felicitated by Managing Trustee of the Trust Rajinder Rosy.
It may be recalled that Simmi Marwaha was a journalist herself and 15 years ago, on March 22 in 2003 had lost her life in a road accident. She was only 24 years old at that time. Every year on April 3 a felicitation function is kept on her birthday.

Budding singer Sagar Laurel enthralled the audience present at the venue. His numbers were a befitting tribute to Simmi Marwaha. Punjabi actor B.N. Sharma was also present on the occasion.
