The NSS unit of KBDAV-7, Chandigarh comprising of 50 volunteers from Class XII participated in the “Tree Plantation Drive” to celebrate Van Mahotsav on the occasion of Eco Club Day on 6th July 2017. Saplings of the medicinal plants were sown in the School Herbal Garden. Plants like Aswagandha, Tulsi, Peppermint, Vringraj were planted. Meangingful messages echoed all around on the importance of trees and how trees are the ‘Lifelines’ for the human beings.

Principal Pooja Prakash and Coordinators joined the drive explaining the importance of planting atleast one sapling to prevent further desertification of the earth. They emphazied the need for students to adopt one sapling from the School Herbal Garden and take care of it.

The Eco Club Volunteers who support the need for modernization and development but categorically stated that the Environment should not be violated and came up with innovative ideas for sustainable development without jeopardizing the non-renewable resources.
